The device STI-11 is a pneumatic knife for cutting corrugated and flat glued cardboard samples for end compression testing according to the ECT method, according to GOST 20683-97 (ISO3037-94). To obtain correct results when tested using this method, the edges of the samples must be flat and parallel to each other. This is achieved through the use of specially sharpened blades and their precise positioning during the cutting process. Replaceable blades are made of high quality steel to ensure high quality cutting of cardboard.

The prepared sample is installed on the STI-1MT test press and held with the STI-8 fixture. For the operation of the knife, a supply of compressed air with a pressure of up to 6 atmospheres is required from the general network or from an autonomous compressor.
